Patrick De Schuyter – guitar
Patrick began his studies as a classical guitarist  with Michel Burton. In 1983, he entered the Brussels Conservatoire Royal de Musique, where he was awarded a First Prize in guitar in 1986, a First Prize in chamber music in 1988 and a master’s degree in guitar (in the class of Nicolas Alfonso) in 1990. He is also a laureate of the Menuhin foundation. Multi-skilled guitarist and improviser, he also participated in numerous musical improvisation competitions in Brussels (Forest-National), Paris (Bataclan), Montreal and Quebec.

From 1999 till 2014, he was part of the Soledad group (tours in Europe, the United States, Asia, Colombia and Canada) with which he recorded 5 albums. Patrick currently performs solo and also plays in other groups, such as “Patolie’s” (blues and compositions), “About Neil” (tribute to Neil Young), “Homeland Band” (folk-rock), with Mike Wahlman (“The Voice”), Rémy Oriane and Christophe Liégeois (“chanson française”) and in duo with Geneviève Dartevelle (harmonica, didgeridoo and hurdy-gurdy). Schuyter owns a Gibson guitar model 1973.
